Everything is ready for the 2019 International Congres on Chronometry!

On Wednesday and Thursday this week, approximately 600 participants from all over Switzerland, Europe and Asia will meet to celebrate 100 years of Research in Swiss Horology.

Historians, watchmakers and scientists are gathering at the Montreux Auditorium Stravinski to listen to and discuss conferences that deal with watchmaking research from a historical, technical and scientific point of view.

In 1919, Adrien Jaquerod, rector of the Université de Neuchâtel, made an appeal to the Swiss watchmaking industry : to conserve its role as leader of the global watch market, it should organise its research. The positive response created in the 1920’s the Laboratoire Suisse de Recherche Horlogère (LSRH) and our Société Suisse de Chronométrie.

While keeping the past century in mind, the leading edge innovation presented by the speakers will define the state of the art of horological research and provide an outlook into its future.

Welcome to the celebration at 2m2c in Montreux. We are honoured to have you as our gests!
